Wookey Primary School

Although we are open from 8:00am for our 'Breakfast Club', at Wookey Primary School the bell rings for the start of the day at 8:55am. The children line up and then they go into the hall for 'Wake and Shake.' This session is planned and lead by our Year 6 children and is a great way to start the day.

 

The children then go to their classes for lessons until 10:30, when it is playtime. If the weather is good we can use the field. After play it is back into class until 12:00, when we have an hour for lunchtime. Our hot lunches are prepared locally by 'Meal4You' and they are very popular!

 

The afternoon starts at 1:00pm and lessons continue until 2:55 when we stop for assembly. We have different kinds of assembly each day, with a celebration assembly on Friday, when we share all the good things that have happened during the week! The school day ends at 3:20pm, but most days we have after school clubs running until 4:15pm.
