As a part of our committment to provding our children with a broad and balanced curriculum we celebrated European Day of Languages on Wednesday this week.

We started the day with a French version of 'Wake and Shake' followed by a continental breakfast, which the children had to ask for in French. The pain au chocolat were particularly popular!

A variety of events took place throughout the morning, including German lessons and a 'Eurovision' voting activity.

In the afternoon the children had a chance to have a try as some Spanish, and we finished the afternoon with a whole school celebration assembly.

Thank you to Mrs Hann for masterminding this exciting day, and also to Mrs Reeves for her help in making is such a success.

The children particularly enjoyed hearing 'Let it Go' from the movie Frozen, sung in lots of different languages. Here is a link to the video clip.
