I think that everyone at Wookey Primary was feeling quite tired at the end of the first week back today. It has been good to hear from the children about the adventures they had during the Christmas break. I was particularly pleased to hear from one of the 'stars of the week' in tea and cakes this afternoon that their favourite part of Christmas was their Christmas dinner!

We have had our first Forest School session today, run by Kaye Watts from 'Holly and Hawthorn Forest School.' The children had a great time and they told us thing such as "It's the best thing we've ever done!", "It's really good, ever so exciting", "I love being outdoors, it gives us a chance to try things" and "I wish we'd thought of this before."

At Wookey we believe that learning can take place anywhere and we are looking forward to seeing the skills and attitudes that the children demonstrated this afternoon back into the classroom. If you are interested in Forest School you can find out more about it online at http://www.forestschoolassociation.org/

If you look in the 'key information' section of our website you can see lots of pictures of what the children got up to, like this one.
